Externally Assessed
The Board of Harper Bernays has retained Professional Financial Solutions, an independent firm of actuarial consultants to, every six months, independently assess every account under our management. The assessment measures both raw performance and volatility, to ensure that the risk profile of every portfolio remains within acceptable bounds. This data is also used to assess our overall performance, which is outlined below.

Benchmarks
Over this period, and prior periods, the appropriate benchmark for each portfolio varies. The appropriate benchmark for the total funds under management is somewhere between the All Ordinaries Accumulation and All Ordinaries Price indices.
Performance figures quoted above are calculated on total funds managed by Harper Bernays over the selected time periods. All calculations are made using the time weighted method to account for the timing of capital movements. Inception refers to the commencement of operations in September of 1988. Performance figures are quoted before the deduction of management fees but after brokerage. The Benchmark Indices are calculated, pre-brokerage and pre-fees. The range in performance of individual clients will vary from the aggregate figures quoted above.
